I first visited Italy when I became a nanny for a year in Padova. Days off would be spent exploring the Veneto region and nearby regions such as Lombardia, Trentino Alto-Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Emilia Romagna. Weekends off were overnight repeat trips to other regions. This was when I fell in love with Italy…..everything about it. I loved how the mouth plays with the language, I loved the nightly stroll families took before dinner, I loved the rhythm of daily life, the food, the wine, the architecture, the history, the…..just everything!
I have been back many times for extended personal trips to investigate a new corner and have new experiences.
Additionally, I have led multiple high school student trips from 6 to 40+ students. I really enjoy sharing ‘my’ country with young people whose eyes are just opening to the world beyond their doors. It is one of the biggest reasons that I love teaching in general. I am energized by their curiosity and their intensity. I have over 20 years experience working with young people and sharing my passion for the world with over 4500 young people.
I began this company because I want people to feel comfortable in their travels, an ease in the travels and an enjoyment in their travels. I just want people to travel. It’s that simple. Really. Italy is a place that I am passionate about, know well, and want people to experience for themselves.
